Aloha Parents and Guardians,
Hana School will be having its Mandatory Off-Campus Evacuation on Friday, November 17th in conjunction with the arrival of the Hokule'a. We will be departing campus at approximately 8:15 and returning at 10:15. Evacuation from campus will be executed as we normally do, by bus. However, this is the first time we are doing an Evacuation with a purpose of more than seeing if we can clear campus and return. We will be greeting the Crew of the Hokule'a as they arrive to Hana. The Crew will be Captained by our locally grown and Hana School Graduate Nakua Lind. Since this is a mandatory campus evacuation and the entire school will be departing permission forms will not be required. Students will need to stay with staff the entire time during the evacuation and then return to campus by bus following the welcoming. If you do not want your child not to participate in the evacuation you will need to bring them to school at 11 am following the drill.
Other Important Information:
The Hokule'a will be doing student tours on Saturday, November 18th during the Limu Festival. Hokule'a will have a sign up table on site.
